Even though (perhaps bc) I identify as Xian, I wonder if anyone has attempted a quasi-IFS approach to atheism: "Thank you, religion, for doing your best to keep us safe in the earlier stages of civilization. But now you're fomenting division and ignorance and it's time to let go of that control."

Finally watched John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness (1987), a movie in which Satan a liquid goo trying to free his Father (the Anti-God) and Jesus was apparently a space alien sent to warn us. Honestly, I don't mind such heresy in service of Lovecraftian horror, but you gotta... (1/2)
