Still mostly talking about energy, built environment, disability, and making fun of stupid ideas.

If I say something that evokes strong feelings, take a minute instead of rushing to abuse.

34 yo politician with no work experience and a 34 yo athlete with no field experience; neither fill me with confidence
A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

Winning an election does nothing, it's what you do after
Whenever progressives have an election win, they celebrate the world becoming a better place for everybody.
Whenever conservatives have a win, they celebrate the world becoming a worse place for their political enemies.
Mark the difference.

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

The problem is that there are so many people who've drunk the "public transportation is gross, scary and dangerous" Kool-Aid that they can't see it's internalized prejudice that taints their worldview.
Imagine spending 1/3 of the year traveling to write about it, but you're from Florida and you literally don't know how to take mass transit so you always stay close to your hotel downtown.

The inequality is a feature and resorting to unsanctioned violence is unacceptable moral weakness. What country am I describing.

Every time
There is always a history with these dudes, and it is always, always, the victim who is shunned, ignored, dismissed, or accused of lying because the dude is ‘good for the party’
