Nerds! Love—and #trivia—is in the air. See your team of no more than 8 players at 7PM at @unionpub.bsky.social.

It’s Valentine’s week, and someone wanted a question about famous bachelors. Your weekly hint: name the 9 U.S. presidents who were bachelors for part or all of their time in office?

Take your pick? Psychopathic? Grift-y? Current administration-worthy?
Saving parking spaces with a cone or a chair is anti-social.

Saving multiple spaces you did not dig out yourself is something much more than anti-social.

You know what they say— the early fox catches the rat! 🦊
@thehillishome.com At about 5:50 am today, a fox trotted by 5th St. NE headed west on A, a rat in its mouth and a spring in its step. #dcpawpatrol

My entire alley hasn't seen a trash truck since 1/22. I've reported it to 311 and emailed my councilman's office ( @cmcharlesallen.bsky.social ) who said they would escalate the situation. But still the trash remains

Sunday morning, and our (regularly on Tuesday) trash & recycling still has not been picked up, even though the mayor’s press releases insist otherwise. Multiple 311 reports in, but at this point, I assume we’re on to the next week. Hope the stuff blowing down the alley gets gathered when they come.

Per @dchealth.bsky.social , there were several cases of measles in the District. Please check the post to see if you could have been exposed between January 21-February 2. Especially important if you were at the March For Life.

Anyone else having a tough time with their collections?
1/2 @cmcharlesallen.bsky.social @chmnmendelson.bsky.social @mayorbowser.dc.gov @thehillishome.com:

What is stated right now on the DPW website about Monday alley collections being "completed" is a LIE. No one came by the pick up ANY trash or recycling in my alley this week thus far.

DC, here's what to expect tonight:

1. Snowfall to start 4-6PM
2. Up to a half inch of snow
3. District Snow Team is already deployed and will continue to salt roads and bridges

Look out for each other and be patient while traveling through the city.
