A baby platypus is called a puggle (or 'platypup' 😁)

Honeybees are the very model of a modern minute monarchy.

There's a female queen & her male consorts (drones) & the teeming masses of workers, who are sterile but anatomically & genetically female.

This tiny longhorn beetle (~4 - 5mm) was a proper sod to photograph. It was in a difficult spot and I had to shoot from the rear screen of my camera, guessing the shot was in focus 😅 Anyway, enjoy this Greater Thorn-tipped longhorn 😊 #macro #macrophotography #beetle #nature #wildlifephotography
