Another reminder:

Respiratory infections spread mainly through the air. That’s why they affect the lungs.

Masks, worn correctly and consistently, reduce the spread of respiratory infections.

Respirators work better than masks.

Washing hands isn’t wrong, but it won’t stop airborne transmission.

Just because a bunch of professors at Stanford say COVID’s no big deal doesn’t make it true. You know this. You know someone who’s died from covid. You know someone with long covid. You’ve probably had covid several times yourself. They are spreading misinformation because it fits their ideology.

Shifting care closer to home continues to be a worthy ambition. But to succeed where past efforts have failed, the new plan must go beyond ambitious rhetoric and be clear about what moving care out of hospital actually means, what it will achieve, and how. #RightToRehab
