Anyone need any help with anything Godot-related? Doesn't have to be game stuff - in addition to games, I have a lot of experience with business apps written in Godot. Just applying to jobs at the moment, but taking a break.
Okay! Big change just submitted to the #GodotEngine #Firebase plugin to allow proper listeners on Firestore documents through the REST API. Time to document everything! It's going to be so painful to document, but it's super cool to use, not difficult at all!

Been a while, but I have a big update to the Godot @firebase.com plugin Coming Soon (TM)! I'm in the process of implementing eTag support for the realtime database, finally, and in-so-doing, will be able to rewrite Firestore document listeners, which are otherwise impossible for Godot to handle...

Well, I loved Overboard, and the backstory for this already seems incredible.
We don't know. What we do know is the wiring diagram works. We built it, virtually, in @godotengine.org. We fed it scans of the books we found.
And the books are very, very strange. The "game" that resulted is also strange.
We're hoping people can make sense of it for us.

Well, I loved Overboard, and the backstory for this already seems incredible.
Oh boy. The app I'm working on just did something unexpected, but stunning and great - just unexpected. I'm hoping to publish it within a week! Terrified, but excited.

Godot and iOS friends, been working on some GameCenter bindings, and this forced me to do some big upgrades to SwiftGodot.
I think what I have so far is nicer than Apple’s Unity plugin (api is about the same, but my glueing chops are more tasteful than theirs):

Marketing question: do any of you actually use any apps on your phones (aside from games), and if so, do you watch videos on them to try to figure out if you want to get them, the apps? I'm wondering if it's worth making a video or not.

Added some bonkers functionality today to my mobile app that's coming out soon. Haven't tested it yet though! Requires I physically be at a restaurant, a rare occurrence. 😂

It's absolutely bonkers developing an app for mobile and having it come out in just a week or two (not that I made it in so little time, but I'm getting close to finishing it!). Trying not to go crunch time, but it's so exciting and I love it so much.

Well, I think we saved this little guy today. We wrapped him up to keep him warm, after finding him on the ground stunned and cold and not moving. But keeping him warm seemed to help enough that he came back to life and flew off. Called animal control, but as always, they're basically unresponsive.

when you're sure you've got the right password since you're copying from the password manager but it doesn't accept it so you reset password then try to change it to the password you already have saved by pasting it in there but it's rejected because it insists your password be different than it was

Well, on a drive, just saw a crow attacking a bald eagle. It was incredible, and basically right next to the car because I was on a bridge and they were just to the side of it.
