So we can all agree that Trump intends for Medicare and Medicaid to collapse so that he can either offer government loans with insane strings attached to hospitals or overhaul the healthcare system altogether in some kind of crazy MAHA way, right?

If Trump thought someone outside his sphere of power would be elected to the executive in 2028, he *may* be less inclined to open the door to such immense, unchecked executive power and to set the precedent to so aggressively push a radical agenda.

My biggest concern with Trump’s massive consolidation of executive power is that they wouldn’t be doing *gestures around at literally everything* all this if they genuinely believed a democrat (or even a moderate republican) would be in the White House in the foreseeable future.
