You can't logic your way out of being burnt out. Unless you're me. Who should be able to do it and it's a personal failing that I can't

What's something that isn't considered embarrassing but you think it should be?

Silksong is fun even if I have not touched a controller in years and took two hours to beat the very first minor fight lol

The marriages were for money, of course. But the horror, the horror was for eggs.

If GdT claims crimson peak isn't a horror movie then how does he explain the scene where Lucille grabs fistfuls of scrambled eggs with her bare hands
aynegray.bsky.social
Lucille Sharpe woman of all time

Sometimes you watch Crimson Peak and go well these characters probably can't get anymore mal-adjusted and batshit and then you go and read GdT's character bios for them and you're like ohhh we haven't even scratched the surface

Settled on a potential avenue for my bachelor's thesis !! Very excited about it. Most likely going to be looking at something related to material culture and sex & sexuality in the medieval period!

Convincing my left-wing former close friends on
Facebook that Charlie Kirk wasn't a Nazi or a
fascist is completely futile because I can't even
convince them that I'M not a Nazi or a fascist, and
many have known me since early grade school.

KIM KITSURAGI - "What is it, detective? Can you make it out?"

BULLET - "if you read this you are gay lmao"

1. "It, um, doesn't say anything."

2. "Transgender ideology. My old foe."

3. [Espirit de Corps - Medium 10] "I think you should read it for yourself, Kim."

He's simply extending the work of Ronald Reagan and the modern NRA who, when Black folks legally armed themselves in self-defense, had their guns taken and banned.

Folks...

...it is only and has only ever been about white supremacy.

I think what I find particularly galling about the people saying stuff like this (and I’m shocked by the volume of it) is that we are years out from having to “make a decision” on who to vote for and there is zero interest in trying to *move the politicians* on this or any other issue.
The trans community has to swallow a bitter pill. You want freedom? You want a future day where honor & respect exists?
Then vote for the popular democrat, even if it's an anti-trans candidate.
Trump & MAGA must be removed.
Freedom does not come with a perfect rainbow.

Trying to get into the conservation field possibly with a focus on textiles but most grad programs require you to have taken chemistry courses for you to even *consider* applying

If anyone genuinely believed this ridiculous "the brain isn't fully formed until 25; you shouldn't make irreversible life-changing choices til then" grift, they'd be insisting that people shouldn't be able to join the army, get married, have kids, etc until then either.

But look: they don't.

@gralefrit.bsky.social You have to see these! A friend of mine has been collating a series of images entitled "Things my students have written turned into Philomena Cunk quotes" and they're just glorious.
Philomena Cunk against a collection of classical statues. "Antigone's death is even more tragic than it actually is, which makes her a tragic hero" Philomena Cunk looking thoughtful. "Goya continued to paint tapestries until 1792 when serious illness left him dead for life" Philomena Cunk looking thoughtfully into the distance. "Society is slowly becoming more contemporary now" Philomena Cunk looking into camera on a beach. "Diderot's Tahiti represents a typical male fantasy in which attractive young women are eager to engage in sexual activity with the French"
