Yeah that original post was WTF but not everyone who has “never eaten a curry” is far-right: some of us just have actual food issues.

BUT that doesn't mean that we should use movies indiscriminately as a template for how things should work in real life!

I feel like tech latched on to a couple of examples that DID works (the TOS flip communicator->flip phone and the TNG LCARS interface->iPad) and now they're obsessed.
