American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

@schumer.senate.govTrump shut down USAID by ignoring the fact that it was a law, he had to spend the money. What if he just ignores the ACA vote that you're battling to get? What if you pass it and he just ignores it, what are you gonna do that? How does that help me a Dem in Ohio who needs the ACA.
