Really ramped up in the 1980s, after the "Nation at Risk" report came out.
It's really worth pausing for a moment to reflect on just how badly education has been fucked under capitalism, in which students are increasingly no longer being assigned books or meaningful reading & analysis of any kind. In which gamifying "outcomes" overshadows, well, education.

It's constant topic of conversation, here. School sports have been canceled, stores closed, many students stopped coming to school,food trucks gone, citizens traveling with our passports, grocery shopping for vulnerable neighbors...but most of all, there's a deep seated hatred for these mfers.

As such, they are asking that when reporting potential ICE/CPB/etc activity to the hotline or posting on social media or whatever, you MUST include time and date and exact location (cross streets/landmarks/businesses better than addresses for victim privacy reasons); timestamps are too easy to miss.

I went to an "ojos" training tonight hosted by New Orleans DSA and Union Migrante and thought I'd pass on new things I learned:
1. Low/old info ICE sighting posts are wreaking havoc on immigrant communities. Basically, incomplete or old info is actively harmful (even if ppl have good intentions)

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Muhammad. Muhammad was an accountant prior to this but his workplace was destroyed and his home severely damaged. He’s hoping to leave Gaza with his family including his daughters Iman, 5 and Lian, 6 so that they can get a better education.
