Ohio vs Michigan: Who threw the best Shade?

How dumb are Michiganders? How terrible is Ohio? Trash talk battle.
The Dispatch's Amelia Robinson and Free Press' Nancy Kaffer don't know sport but they know how to talk trash before The Game. Vote for your favorite at Dispatch.com/opinion.

Stata users: if you aren't already, definitely start using bookmarks to create headings and sub-headings in your .do files. Such a big help! **# in a .do file creates a heading; **## = subheading; **### = sub-subheading. Then double-click on them to jump right to that section 👍

Conservatives have more children nowadays. Seems to be true, descriptively (though Brad's analysis is a mess). This is women's probability of being conservative by number of children, across birth cohorts in the GSS

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

💯 and serving as a discussant is something that senior folks are happy to do in addition to presenting!

Though, unfortunately I won't make it to ASHEcon next summer, I have welcomed cold emails to present/discuss on a panel in the past and welcome in the future!
In response to a question I've gotten about organized sessions....yes, it's totally OK to cold email people, even senior people

In my experience, people are generally happy you've thought of them and make it easier for them to submit

If you don't know them: budget time for person to respond

My only wish for the AEA executive board is to take seriously the broken market for peer review

I recently joined the editorial board of Feminist Economics (send us your papers!) and it just seems to be that some smart theory person could come up with a way to fix this market
