This is unrelated to dG, it's an old binder shell I found from the late 1970s. Insides have been gutted and replaced with... a country songbook lol.

Where in the world is Andy? Well, today I’m at Check, Please! in Grafton Ohio. You can make your own order and draw on the tables. Art courtesy of my buddy Cam.

Maybe it's an odd time in the world for my cynicism to melt. Whether we're all born to suffer or not, at the very least I'm glad I was born into suffering at the same time as many of you.

The other day I ran into a guy that I considered my best friend. Note the past tense.
Wasn't a good encounter, but after we went our separate ways I started to fume before that fuming was overtaken by thinking about the people I *do* have in my corner. I love my friends more than I hate my enemies.

You know how there’s been this big push towards encouraging older people to do puzzles, cognitive games, and to learn new things to keep them from succumbing to dementia?

Wonder where that’s gonna go with the rise of “outsource your cognitive functions to AI, it’ll be convenient” culture

Cognition is like strength. Use is required to not just gain, but maintain. The more thinking and cognitive work we offload, the duller we become as a result.

It's like deciding you'll use a mobility scooter without need and then figuring out a year later that you can no longer walk.
