By the time I got to the J-school that Kendra graduated from, NYT had gained such a reputation that I was warned by faculty "everyone who was white had the best time of their lives working there while those who weren't were miserable."

I didn't want NYT to be part of my public story. I wanted it to be the horrible ex everyone forgets about. But it can't be because that institution is still damaging people but more importantly fucking up our society. And I'm a terrible liar.
I overheard--just a few days ago!--someone say COVID was never that big a deal, that masks never worked, and it was all a Democrat scheme to make money...within earshot of someone who lost a child to COVID and another whose lungs have been permanently fucked up by it.
