the practical effect of arresting lemon et al is to spark widespread condemnation, especially since these arrests will certainly be thrown out. this doesn't mean the action isn't a dangerous escalation, it does mean the white house doesn't know what to do but spam its only attack

I have been of the opinion for about five years now that we are all mostly clinging to the *idea* of social media. But that it has not existed, as we mean it, since Jack sold Twitter. Also for those who want to talk about affordability more than anything else, your compromise is that ICE has $85 billion now. All of that money could go to people who need it!
Abolishing ICE is polling well and even polls positively with some Republicans at the moment. It could absolutely be a motivating and winning midterm issue that could flip control. Giving up before things even really start is a sure-fire way to keep people home.
