Tired: flat streets

Wired: Speed humps, tables, etc

Inspired: Speed *dips*, because modern clearance and suspension makes taking speed bumps at speed no big deal, but dips still make drivers worry they'll damage their car, and that has the highest level of encouraging compliance

Yep, it's this. Men don't want to evolve and grow so it's just an epidemic and all the fault of women, obvs.
I'm starting to wonder how much "the male loneliness epidemic" is just straight and bisexual women identifying low-effort, mean, and incompetent men and choosing not to date, marry, and tolerate them anymore

Wes Streeting orders review of mental health diagnoses as benefit claims soar
Health secretary has asked experts to investigate whether normal feelings have become ‘over-pathologised’ The health secretary, Wes Streeting, has ordered a clinical review of the diagnosis of mental health conditions, according to reports. Streeting is understood to be concerned about a sharp rise in the number of people making sickness benefits claims because of diagnoses for mental illness, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the Times reported. He has asked leading experts to investigate whether normal feelings have become “over-pathologised”, the newspaper said, as he seeks to grapple with the 4.4 million working-age people now claiming sickness or incapacity benefit. The figure has risen by 1.2 million since 2019, while the number of 16 to 34-year-olds off work with long-term sickness because of a mental health condition is said to have grown rapidly in the same period. Streeting told the Times he knew from “personal experience how devastating it can be for people who face poor mental health, have ADHD or autism and can’t get a diagnosis or the right support”. He added: “I also know, from speaking to clinicians, how the diagnosis of these conditions is sharply rising. “We must look at this through a strictly clinical lens to get an evidence-based understanding of what we know, what we don’t know, and what these patterns tell us about our mental health system, autism and ADHD services. “That’s the only way we can ensure everyone gets timely access to accurate diagnosis and effective support.” The review, which is expected to be launched on Thursday, is set to be led by Prof Peter Fonagy, a clinical psychologist at University College London specialising in child mental health, with Sir Simon Wessely, a former president of the Royal College of Psychiatry, acting as vice-chair. FWIW, I believe the people who had abused hurled at them when they said Farage is a racist, over Farage.

I think non-White people know a little bit more on what is racist abuse.

It's interesting that the demographic of those who think this isn't shared.

Because I'm guessing there were a section of women and many people of colour who don't think life was better in the 70s than now. Also, disabled people and those who identify as LGBTQ+. It deffo was not happier times.

Remember when multiple right-wing idiots told us of "no-go zones" for white people? Turns out, there are "no-go zones" which are areas that NHS staff, who are not white, are feeling "deliberately intimidated".

These are real and valid feelings. Do not dismiss.

Probably worth saying that gambling firms prop up The Sun through millions £ in advertising and referral deals.

For some reason they don't point that conflict of interest out on their front page story against gambling taxes today (save for a promo note that it "includes Sun Bingo and Sun Vegas")

The Sky interview on Nuneaton high Street in the Summer a perfect snapshot. An Asian businessman expressing his concern with flags etc, a group of youths racially abusing him, and a white shop owner demurring to comment at first then saying "yes it's worse since Reform". She is the silent majority.

Broadcasters - especially the BBC - have been working hard to ensure they give a voice to the 25-35% of people willing to vote Reform (and harder groups within that, like anti-asylum protest and Tommy protest)

Need to pay as much attention to the unheard majority who fear that form of politics

Reform lost by 11% in Caerphilly - because of a surge in turnout, because Reform looked set to win the seat.

This illustrates Reform's vulnerability *because* they are leading the polls (in a 6 party system) while being an *unpopular* party. A much bigger problem under FPTP 2029 than PR 2026

My OCD wasn't diagnosed until 37 and I was told it was an affect of my PTSD which wasn't officially diagnosed until I was also 37. That trauma was from when I was 7. It took 30 years. And it was in the US.
