Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 84th day out of the last 96.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

What is the scale of the white house ballroom? Is this building being constructed without drawings/permits?

Credit to Bricks_and_Beadboard for the drawing estimating the size.

The White House updated their LinkedIn logo to an AI airbrushed photo of 47. So that now appears on all former WH staffers pages. Malice or incompetence? Like so many things with this admin, hard to tell.

No, you did not give those of us who happened to look like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor any due process. And that was profoundly wrong. It destroyed our lives.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

Narratively speaking, the tightest ending to this screenplay is probably the freed J6 protestors storming the White House to demand the release of the Epstein files.

“Don’t You (Forget About Me)” tops the charts 40 yrs ago today

Jim Kerr was at a French hotel when he got the news. “I went down to the bar .. no one there except the barman. I said, ‘What’s the best champagne you’ve got?’

He said, ‘Who for?’

I said, ‘Me & you & whoever else comes thru the door.’

FT writers roast Sam Altman after lunching with him at his Napa farmhouse. Part BuzzFeed listcicle part searing takedown of OpenAI. He appears to have gotten the garlic quantity from ChatGPT.

Type in COVID.gov and you'll be treated with this steaming pile of misinformation. www.whitehouse.gov/lab-leak-tru...

I do kind of love the implication of the header image that DJT might be a lab leak. Good job WH graphic designer!

How to block Starlink visitors from your web site 📌
Nope. I mean (in PHP):

if (preg_match('/starlinkisp\.net$/', gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_HOST'])) {
die;
}

If everyone agrees to boycott Starlink, it will both cripple the Trump Administration and Elon's Starlink revenues. What good is an ISP that the internet doesn't want?

I'll go first.

Just block all requests from *.starlinkisp.net.

@repmoskowitz.bsky.social Curious why you chose to censure Al Green when MTG was not censured for her outburst?

I do appreciate the budget options you outlined on The Bulwark.

@justsecurity.org Appreciate your work tracking everything. To your knowledge, is there any litigation challenging the memo recommending reclassifying agency CIOs to political appointees?
Debate about political CIOs takes on new life with OPM memo
Agencies have until Friday to decide if they want to reclassify their CIOs as “general” Senior Executive Service positions instead of “career reserve.”
