Affiliate is one of the milestones that has really changed my life, and I like to celebrate it with a subathon. I will be running one, with this schedule, through October 20th (the anniversary date). I've got a new model and am very excited to share more of myself with people.

My own tastes tend toward extremely low budget games, but this means they simply lack things a lot of people like. For the same price, I'd consider Furi higher quality than Doom 2016, and in practice Furi was much cheaper, but this is a matter of taste & execution, not development costs.

That's going to come down to taste & execution. The stuff that really costs money in games, Deveraux talked about art assets but also things like multiplayer servers, are menu items that are simply inaccessible on lower budgets. Its no guarantee that you'll make a good game though.

Well, think about movies if that's more familiar to you. If you want to make an MCU style special effects extravaganza, that's going to cost a lot of money. If you want a tense movie where two guys talk to each other in a restaurant, not so much. Which is the better film?

So I was figuring that you'd use AHK to detect pixel colors and set the color detection to the brush bristles on locations on palette with a cool down.

I'm REALLY fucking annoyed that its two features, one of which is kind of ok ('voice command that clips the last 60s', which is nice but also doable with existing tech), and then one of which is one I've already filled out a survey for Twitch saying I do not fucking want.

Craziest thing I can remember is learning that lead spent like 2000 years as a tasty tasty wine flavor additive. Like you're getting fake crappy wine if you don't use lead. Real wineheads use lead, gotta put lead in your wine if you really believe in wine. Wineaunts commit with lead.

One of the most genuinely interesting results from addiction studies is that you can get addicted to ALMOST everything, and the exceptions are basically porn and sex. Actual sex therapists & researchers call it bunk even if they'd personally profit from it, because its bunk!

Fuentes maybe but Yarvin's just a liar. His business is "I have DANGEROUS secrets to tell you on my public blog." The 'secrets' aren't secret so he needs to invent 'danger' or he has no product. "The liberals will kill me" is just ad-copy that he's been reusing since 2007.

Its possible that the perception of government work as stable and reliable was just a circumstance of the Cold War, and that 'dancing around the whims of a mad king' is the normal state that we are unfortunately returning to.

It follows from a common economic observation: having a single employer means having a single point of failure, having a customer base means having redundancy. In the case of the US, you can even get fired because they got upset to learn 'history is actively studied rather than passively observed'
