If he can go four more hours he will beat Strom Thurmond’s record. Thurmond used his filibuster to try and prevent the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:

Listening to @mcclellan.house.gov’s tele-call and it is heartbreaking that a caller expressed concern the Emancipation Proclamation could be overturned. Which she says “no that can’t happen” and also she is going to “fight like hell to make sure we don’t go back to Jim Crow.”

VCU vs. Dayton was a fun game to watch. What the heck is wrong with ads on ESPN+ app though? They switch/repeat at the 6 sec mark, with no commercial completely airing. It’s like nails on a chalkboard.

Sometimes I’m still shocked that Al Gore talking about climate change in 2000 set up so many deep, future divisions. Was it the first widespread public rejection of scientific data on climate change? Feels like it. I guess also why so few candidates talk about climate change now.
