Invisible woman of a certain age.
Pinned
She was a magnificent cat.

The last but one photo taken of Miss Ronnie, who passed away last Saturday.

Her excellent headbutts, and judgemental hard stares are much missed. I am devastated.

Jane Austen was born 250 years ago today ✨

Our new display, Dancing with Austen, explores how dance shaped her social world and drove the plots of her novels.

Now on display at the Weston Library.

This gull just noticed that a careless dog owner had allowed his animals into the woodland lake, suffice to say many birds were disturbed.

If you can’t control your dogs, or if in the presence of other animals, then keep them on a lead.

#OTD in 1961 the contraceptive pill was introduced on the NHS.

While the pill continues to be debated and at times still attracts controversy, it is important to remember what it offered women: greater control over their own bodies.

Received an email today from a professional services male (non-library) colleague suggesting if we could link library skills data to student retention it could be ‘quite powerful’.

I may reply with this helpful diagram explaining mansplaining. Also noting we already do this.
