Various experts commenting on the recent public information: Russia regime is attempting a large-scale reform of its military recruiting system.
Basically, Moscow wants a long-term commitment from the cohort of men currently seeking QUICK BIG PAYCHECK in exchange for their almost-certain death.

Heavy Russian air strike on the city of Kharkiv right now.
One of the Russian glide bombs targeted a hospital, destroyed its auxiliary building causing a major fire - Mayor just now.

(An auxiliary hospital building might be something absolutely VITAL: oxygen unit, heating station, morgue...)

*Usually EXEMPT from the mandatory district heating season in Ukraine are hospitals, schools, kindergartens, key government buildings and also any other sites / buildings able to pre-order heating and use the steam efficiently.
They mostly have the heating supply already.

IMPORTANT: Ukraine government officially shortened the mandatory district heating season by more than a month, to start on Nov 1 and end on Mar 31 🥶.

It is widely understood as an emergency measure🚨 to conserve natural gas stockpiles after the Russian strikes on UA gas industry in September.

Odesa, Ukraine's main port city, has been under relentless Russian drone attacks almost every night for two weeks now.

The Ukrainian Air Force just posted a video of one of their air defense teams in the area doing their best with the precious little resources (largely DIYed) that they have.

Unscheduled power outages across the entire Left-Bank [eastern] portion of Ukraine this morning as a result of last week's Russian terror strikes on the UA electricity sector.
Acc. to the natl. grid operator, the immediate reason is the clouds-caused drop in solar power output amid the cold weather.

Yeah, that's not true what FT wrote about UA deep strikes.
Mainstream Western news media remain goofy on everything military. It's a result of the decades-long anti-militarist bias in the Western elites.
Off the record, US Generals and officials chew journos' ears with BS they wouldn't say openly.
