Because there is so much information packed onto the Accessible Social website, I made a "quick guide" page for it not that long ago. It's basically a bullet point version of the site for quick guidance and easy reference when needed. We love convenience here!

The end of federal enforcement of special ed laws. Some states - including MN - will likely be ok. But a lot of disabled kids in a lot of states are going to lose the education that federal law and decades of jurisprudence say they are owed.
Education Department wipes out special ed office in shutdown layoffs, union says
The Education Department laid off nearly everyone at the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services.

Why are we still paying Jared Leto to do things, I thought we learned our lesson about that

About to have the best sleep ever. Freshly laundered bed linens, clean pajamas, shaved legs, and my usual sleep aid. Gonna sleep forever. 😴

Chicago makes me so hopeful. She stands tall even in the worst situations and knows how to take a punch.

Yes. EVERY single CA trans rights bill passed the legislature with a veto-proof majority, considering zero Dems voted no.

So if Newsom vetoes them, the fight isn't over--you can then pressure your CA reps to override them!

Is it possible for California legislator to override the veto’s. They have a super majority in the state.

And for anyone curious, my Wellbutrin prescription is what started making my hair fall out. I’m part of the lucky 1% who experience that side effect. 🫠
alexaheinrich.bsky.social
Well, it’s a year later and I have more hair than I know what to do with most days (by my standards)! Thanks to a combination of adjusting my meds, wearing a silk bonnet to bed, and changing some of the products I use in my hair, it’s stronger, shinier, and just a smidge out of control sometimes. 😂
Alexa in profile. Her brunette hair curls along the top of her head all the way down to the nape of her neck. The sides of her head are still kept buzzed.

On October 5th last year, I buzzed my entire head down to the skin after growing out the top for two years. It was kind of a bummer, but I was losing my hair and decided it needed a hard reset.

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."
alexaheinrich.bsky.social
It’s amazing how many people seem to operate under the delusion that every social media post—even the most mundane—should somehow magically consider every possible opinion, perspective, scenario, and nuance.

THAT’S NOT HOW REALITY WORKS.

God I cannot wait until our house is done and we're living in a single-story home again. The amount of yelling we do every day just to figure out where someone is in the rental is slowly driving me mad. 😅

The only reason Bluesky exists in the form it does today is through the efforts of an entire community of trans shitposters. They are the bedrock foundation of this place and Bluesky needs to acknowledge that and take special measures to protect them. This is the very least Bluesky owes trans folks.
angryblacklady.blacksky.app
Which is why Bluesky needs to yeet Jesse Singal out of here. And to yeet JKR on sight when she brings her hate brigade over here. It should be non-negotiable.

As bad as this headline is, the details are worse. Russel Vought is trying to roll back SS for the elderly, the disabled, the widowed and orphaned and FURTHER cut food stamps. Make sure to read and share this gift link: wapo.st/4qa8yoq
