Uh, hello, new followers! A bunch of you appeared this afternoon, I'm guessing from the neurodivergence/disability starter pack?

I post about tech, life, mental health, ADHD, autism, chronic illness, disability, video games, whatever.

I'm also unapologetically queer and trans.

Kahless tells us that even if you are confident that you can do anything, know that you can't do everything. Choose your battles wisely, concentrate on what matters most, and whatever you make of life, make it count.

the funniest thing about this is that those of us who grew up in the divide all have a bunch of pre-cell phone numbers memorized and almost none afterwards

I know the home phone numbers of two of my childhood best friends from thirty years ago and none of the cell numbers of my college friends

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I have been playing Hollow Knight and I am completely obsessed. I am 1000% spoiler free for it (which is also why I'm disabling all interaction with this post, lol)

Also, it impresses me that while I am sore and tired, ibuprofen worked. I had assumed I'd need a muscle relaxant after work but like. I'm good now?

So the migraine wasn't unexpected, and I woke up at 2am to take Zofran, and was able to get back to sleep.

Took a triptan this morning and while it took a hot minute to kick in, it WORKED, and I don't need to redose. (It has been MONTHS since I've had a migraine med work with the first dose)

It's funny -- I've spent my entire life thinking that I'm not that active or physical a person and don't crave movement, but then I realize I've done:

* karate
* tae kwon do
* shaolin kung fu
* ballroom
* ballet
* tap
* modern
* belly dance
* competitive strongman
* weightlifting

and, uh, welp

Had dance for the first time in 7 years & I'm an absolute wreck this morning. Worth it, but it was a 90 minute class & I am absolutely dead & clobbered. Wicked migraine (this was expected)

Slept mediocrely and had a mild-apnea number of events and HOW did I do this every morning?

A dark gray and white bird stands on a stop sign, seen from the back. It leans forward and looks off to its left, as if checking for oncoming traffic.
