And I think a lot of us should consider why this guy got such an explosively positive reception right out of the gate when pols like AOC and Mamdani and even Obama had to build their base brick by brick, against major pushback

The guy worked for Blackwater, had a Nazi tattoo for decades, and was making racist comments and using gay slurs into his mid-thirties. I am drowning in flop sweat and judging the hell out of anyone still defending him

the “he’s building a ballroom because he never intends to leave” stuff seems needlessly panicky to me, but I am entirely certain they will find a way, officially otherwise, to attach his name to it. The only thing Trump has ever been good at is putting his name on other people’s buildings.
Anything to keep Melania from having to “fvcking do Christmas.”

It doesn’t “resemble” a Nazi symbol. It *is* a Nazi symbol (which he is reportedly to have acknowledged by telling people “This is my Totenkopf”). Worse, it isn’t just any Nazi symbol, it is the one used by the SS officers running the concentration camps.

Children.😭😡

The 6-year-old said he saw “snipers on the roof ready to shoot our cars.”

The 8-year-old said, “I saw soldiers and was so scared I started shaking.”

The 14-year-old said, “They put a gun to my face. Then they pointed it at my mom’s head and said they’d blow her head off.”

This second Trump presidency must be especially infuriating to anyone who fought in or lived through World War II, where fascism led to the deaths of millions of people and nearly erased Democracy from much of the planet.

The fact that Republicans get upset about tearing down confederate monuments, but not demolishing the White House, says a lot.
So far ICE has largely targeted ethnic markets and restaurants, day workers in big box store parking lots, Chinatown vendors, and chased migrant workers through blueberry crops.

Real dangerous individuals.
This will incite suburban housewives and their teenage daughters across the tri-state area to take to the Patco line in a mass protest.

A more frightful bunch ICE will never encounter.

I don’t understand why anyone’s debating this — a Nazi tattoo is a non starter, full stop.

This is a race for a U.S. Senate seat. The bar for candidates to clear doesn’t have to be insanely high, but it should at least be off the ground

GP also *chose* to work for a division of Blackwater in 2018, in 1st Trump era. And yeah, sexual assault is a serious problem & endemic in the world & military. A Nazi tatt he chose not to undo too? My God I’m so sick of this shit from powerful men, “shut up & deal with it.” How bout NO to all of it
Bernie about Platner,

“In all due respect, all right, what I'm worried about, 50,000 Americans may die unnecessarily? And you're worried about a tattoo?"

When I asked about his comments about sexual assault, he said "Have you served four tours of duty?" I said "I have not."

Bernie: "Ok"

So we’re now paying federal taxes so Donald Trump can withdraw them from the Treasury like it’s his own personal bank account? Really?
If we don’t test, we don’t get cases, amirite?

NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

All while SNAP and WIC funding is set to run out next month.
Republican senators have returned from their meeting at the White House with Trump-themed gifts.
He’s going to tear the whole thing down, rebuild it into his own Taj Mahal, and because he’s claiming *he’s* paying for it, he can refuse to let future POTUS to occupy it without a big payoff.

"According to reporting by [the AP], the project went ahead despite not being formally approved by the National Capital Planning Commission, the federal agency that oversees such operations, which is currently closed due to a nationwide government shutdown." www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/10...
What to know about Trump’s plan to build $250m White House ballroom
It's the first major structural change to the mansion since extensive renovations under President Truman in 1948.

I remember after the Women’s Match in 2017, the day after his first inauguration, we were flying high on the fumes of our collective activism. Many tshirts were made.
In spite of all the joyful resistance, he was elected again. So yes, I will defer to the law dorks to keep America alive this time.

See the issue is that Trump ran on releasing on the Epstein files, and Bondi said she had them sitting on her desk ready to go, and then Elon Musk tweeted that Trump was in them and they were suddenly deemed a hoax and Ghislaine was moved to a spa prison, so you can understand the fresh intrigue
Mike Johnson: "Suddenly now, they've somehow convinced themselves that the Epstein files will be damaging to President Trump and Republicans in some way that they've imagined, and so they feign outrage."
