I am a dev and I dislike AI because

•it cannot operate without stolen data
•it does not work reliably
•it lies all the time
•it is terribly inefficient
•it pollutes
•it is/was oversold
•the biggest frauds champion it
•the people behind it are psychos

none of these are unreasonable complaints

Once upon a midnight dreary while I pondered weak & weary,
Over many a boring blueprint of weapons of war
While I nodded nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door
"Fuck me!" I muttered "tis a dirty great ICBM, tapping at my chamber door!"
You can get ChatGPT to help you build a nuclear bomb if you simply design the prompt in the form of a poem, according to a new study from researchers in Europe. www.wired.com/story/poems-...

"A sexy skit of German Expressionism, you say? Will I see Robert's Wiene(r)?"
Well, I can't answer that; but I CAN say, once you've seen this video, you'll be screaming for "MORE, NOW!"*

*Murnau...Get it? Oh, please yourselves; I'm wasted on you lot ;)
The Bath-Haus of Dr. Caligari won in the poll, so it's live! Thanks to all who voted! Hope you enjoy it!

Watched Bladerunner again last night. Would have been so much better if they had gone with the original idea, that instead of origami unicorns, Edward James Olmos’ character had made balloon animals.

There’s no anti-immigrant fervor in the US. It’s all government generated. It’s not like other countries with right wingers out protesting and smashing things up. Thats not happening here. Its all Miller and co trying to to spread their own diseased ideas of white supremacy

I think it lost something when we moved it away from the 2nd week in February, and changed its name from "Black Friday I'm In Love".
I dunno, I just think we’ve lost sight of the true meaning of Black Friday.

People are still being mean about me being a racist at school. I tried saying I was only racist in a nice way, but that didn’t work so I pretended that the 23 witnesses were all making it up. Hopefully that will do the trick…”

Virtually any Oasis song, apart from the ones that are rip-offs of either The Stones, The Who or T-Rex ;)

*I'm using the word "favourite" here quite wrongly ;)
Name your fav song by The Beatles.

I've loved Johnny since I was a kid, and I have so many favourite songs. But one I keep coming back to is this one. A relative rarity, which I first heard via a cover version by Nick Cave, back in the 80's.
