Beep boop. Photography and video games and composition instruction.

Beep boop. Nothing here is reflective of the position of my employer.
She insults everyone in language so obscene as to be literally breathtaking. Each of us waits as the alphabet approaches our name. When she calls us a "dribbling fuck I wouldn't clean from a dead dog" we cheer.

The consensus of people who borrowed hundreds of billions to trillions of dollars to build god is they will imminently build god. No shit.
A few years ago I wrote that in my lifetime computers will be able outperform humans at any intellectual task and commenters said it was an outlandish statement.

Today, the industry consensus is that it should happen within the decade. We are so unprepared for this as a society.

I really like this shot! I realize it's very "postcard tree" but the lung like detail of all the little twigs just speaks to me #photography

What? NOOOOOOOOOOO. The mass market paperback is the best kind of book!

This sucks, and suggests physical books are going to become an expensive prestige thing like vinyl records. Ereaders are fragile and centrally controlled. Paper books are just better.

It took all morning and soaked my hands in gasoline, but I revived my snow blower.

Thank God I live in America, with the freedom and dignity afforded by individual home and car ownership. May Jesus protect our elected officials as they fight the communist plots of dense housing and public transit.

In happier news, I think once grades are in I am going to do caves of qud... But on a non-permadeath mode. This makes me feel like a fraud, but I am old and there are only so many hours in a day.

The hero of the Hannukah massacre has been identified as Ahmed Al-Ahmed, a 43-year-old fruit shop owner. He disarmed one of the gunmen. He is Muslim.
May he be an inspiration to the world.

You know the right is going to jump on this oz shooting to crow about how gun control doesn't work.

Except it does work, and we have to get better about communicating why things that don't work perfectly are still worthwhile. That's hard to do when media is easily dominated by one off spectacles.

Good guys with guns don't ever stop bad guys with guns. Good guys with courage and their bare hands stop bad guys with guns...

... But only if the bad guy has a gun he has to stop shooting to reload.

His name is Ahmed al Ahmed. He’s 42, father of two, and owns a Sydney fruit shop. His relatives say he had no experience handling guns. He was shot twice, not in this video, but is expected to survive.
