I wrote a little bit about how and why AI is good at bureaucracy, which is interesting to bureaucracy freaks like me. aboard.com/ai-is-a-powe...
AI is a power tool for bureaucracy freaks like me
Get an AI to write a short story? It’ll suck. Create a PowerPoint about the ISO-9001 certification process? It’ll be a very, very good start.

If you have the luxury of not cashing in your kids' old devices when upgrading, consider powering them down, labeling it with info about what's on it, and storing it in a cool dry place for a decade or two. I promise it'll be more valuable to them than the current trade-in value when they're grown.

Any time I talk about a wealthy person's outfit, someone in the comments is quick to reply: "They're rich, you think they care?" No one has to care about my opinions or clothes, regardless of net worth.

But let's talk about the connection between wealth and aesthetics 🧵

It’s Global Running Day and I could get a badge on my Apple Watch for running a 5k, but I’m at the point in my couch to 5k program where my cardio fitness now outpaces my muscle strength and form (so: baby’s at risk of shin splints) 😭

I bought another new pair of running shoes tho so it’s ok 😅

RAW MILK TIME

I was surprised to find most of the "raw milk cures ___" talking points from the last 20+ years come from one (1) raw milk dairy farmer in California.

Let's get to know him!

My mom was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and I have basically spent 4 of the last 6 months in Arkansas taking care of her and getting her meds figured out. 90% of my wardrobe is from Walmart now. Please send avocado toast and boba. Tell my husband and cat and plants that I miss them.

My fyp tonight is evenly split between le poisson Steve memes and Chinese handbag makers saying they’ve been making all the Gucci/Prada/etc this whole time, the concept of luxury we’ve been sold is a lie and they’re not going to politely stay in the shadows any more

Cultural change is afoot lol

Bus driver Mc Allen wants ‘Transit Operator Day’ to be more than a busman’s holiday.

So he is setting a big goal: He wants riders to make 550,000 trips and submit 500 operator commendations on Tuesday.

As someone who screens all her app updates*, thanks I hate it.

* you can take the girl out of the app review but can’t take the app review out of the girl, old habits die hard, etc etc
Wonder why iOS app changelogs no longer have detail? Apple prohibits importing server-side code to run the app, and Apple update reviews take a long time, so most new features are hidden behind dynamic flags the server controls. Nobody may initially get the feature or fix they added.
