For decades I heard supposed fans making cruel jokes about Donna. This is how I first learned that all Deadheads are not nice people just because they wear tie dyes (followed by Deadhead Trumpers).
Donna's voice was clarion and no more off key than the rest.
May the four winds blow you safely home.
Gutted to hear of the passing of Donna. I never understood the disrespect. She was a hero and a goddess and a stone cold fox and I’ll miss her appearances on the Deadcast very much.

"People died for this money. Families were torn apart for this money. And to not spend it to try to make our system better, so that people don't have to experience those losses going forward is unconscionable."

The water drugs
Trump: "We call them the water drugs. The drugs that come in through water. They're not coming. There are no boats anymore. Frankly, there are no fishing boats. There are no boats out there period, if you want to know the truth. Does anybody go fishing anymore?"

"A more radicalized approach to recovery is also coming in which indigenous leaders will castigate those individuals, industries, and institutions that profit from addiction and call for recovery as a political as well as personal act–an act of collective liberation as well as personal redemption. 1

This is a technique known as "physical assault."
We have seen this strategy used before — I shared a while back a cop in Philadelphia doing this (I reported him and never got a response). Countless people on video giving naloxone to people who are awake. This takes it a step further and is absolutely disgusting.

The contrast between this and the last few years, when we finally saw some evidence-based harm reduction initiatives coming out of SAMHSA, is stark. This does not portend well.
