Interesting.
The NBA tells its 30 franchises today that the league has undertaken a renewed review of league policy changes concerning "tanking" -- such as potential modifications to rules regarding Draft pick protections, revised Draft lottery rules, and other approaches.

NBA is also pushing gaming companies for changes to prop bets involving individual players, such as:

- limiting maximum amount that can be bet
- limitations on "unders"
- limiting population of players
- eliminating problematic bet types, like bets on an action on a single play

That’s not the problem, Silver.
The NBA is enacting several sports betting policies to its 30 teams, including changing injury reporting rules: Teams now will be required to resubmit injury listings on game day between 11 am and 1 pm local time and update public reports every 15 minutes, sources tell ESPN.

Ugh, Tanqueray’s is shutting down on New Year’s. Not many institutions left in downtown Orlando.

Suggs being listed as doubtful means he might play against the Warriors.
The #Magic list Tristan da Silva (right shoulder contusion) and Jonathan Isaac (left hip contusion) both as Questionable for Saturday’s game at Utah.

Jalen Suggs (left hip contusion) is Doubtful.

A reminder, the Wagner Bros. did not travel.

Lost 115-126. Murray 32 points. Jokic triple-double. Bane bad night. Paolo triple-double but he still can’t make a 3, 0-of-4: 26-points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists. Wendell ends up with 26 points but didn’t do much defensively.
December 19, 2025 at 10:30 AM
Of course Jamal Murray was going to torch Tyus. Magic down 68-54. That’s deflating.

Jett hit two 3s to open the second and then Jase picked Bruce Brown’s pocket and dunking to put us up 40-29. Magic are hustling.
December 19, 2025 at 2:44 AM
We saw the Jokic-Valanciunas twin towers, Goga and Penda held up pretty well.
Magic up 32-25 after one.
December 19, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Goga surprisingly in Jokic’s head early. Doubt that lasts. AB has 10 points. 29-17, Magic.
December 19, 2025 at 2:32 AM
Trae Young comes back for the Hawks and they immediately lose in Charlotte. Predictable.
December 19, 2025 at 2:31 AM
4:50 left in the first, and all 9 Magic players have checked in. Nice Goga steal and solo finish the other way. 26-17, Orlando.
December 19, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Paolo’s moving a lot better so far tonight.
December 19, 2025 at 2:20 AM
Magic literally have 9 guys available tonight. Up 8-2 with a few 3s.

Pleasantly surprised Mosley avoided the league fine.

The short-handed #Magic are starting Tyus Jones, Anthony Black, Desmond Bane, Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter Jr. tonight at Denver.

#Magic coach Jamahl Mosley told reporters pre-game in Denver that Tristan da Silva and Jonathan Isaac are “getting better,” but won’t be available tonight. Mosley said Isaac got kneed last game while da Silva’s shoulder has been “ongoing” and “bothering him for a quite a bit.”
Update: The #Magic say Tristan da Silva (right shoulder contusion) and Jonathan Isaac (left hip contusion) are both OUT tonight at Denver.
The #Magic have added Jonathan Isaac (left hip contusion) to the injury report for tonight’s game at Denver. He’s listed as Questionable.

I’m told the plan is for #Magic two-way players Jamal Cain and Orlando Robinson to fly to meet the team tomorrow as it continues its West Coast road trip Saturday at Utah.

The pair originally remained in Orlando for the G League Winter Showcase.

No two-way guys either. We are shorthanded.

Cup curse incoming.
Per an NBA spokesperson the team that wins the Cup gets to decide if a banner is raised or not, not the league.

And finally there’s the Tristan shoulder injury designation. It’s why he’s been slumping for weeks.
The #Magic list Tristan da Silva (right shoulder contusion) as Questionable for Thursday’s game at Denver.

As expected, Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain), Moe Wagner (left knee injury recovery) and Jalen Suggs (left hip contusion) are all OUT.

#Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said Jalen Suggs (left hip contusion) “wasn’t able to go and do much in practice,” Wednesday when I asked. Mosley said Suggs focused on his recovery and rode the stationary bike a little bit.

Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain) and Moe Wagner (left knee injury recovery) won’t travel with the #Magic on the team’s upcoming 4-game West Coast road trip, I’m told.

The duo will remain in Orlando to focus on rehab.

Meanwhile, Jalen Suggs (left hip contusion) will travel.
