Yeah, not ideal from a mental prep perspective.
#Magic two-way center Orlando Robinson told me in the locker room he learned he was starting tonight at Boston “literally two minutes before the game.”

Well, Jett Howard has 30 points. That’ll help the trade value.

I don’t understand why Mosley didn’t get Franz and Bane back in for Cain and Tyus. Seems insane not to.
November 24, 2025 at 1:16 AM
Jase Richardson 3 on the break. Timeout, Boston. 6:24 left, Magic only down 121-110. I would imagine Franz checks back in.
November 24, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Hold on, Jett hits his fourth 3 and Jase drives in for a tough and-1 lay-in finish. Magic down 121-107 with 6:45 left.

Magic down 110-89 in Boston going to the fourth. Orlando needs to play an insane level of defense in the fourth to stand a chance at a comeback.

Could be an important driving and-1 hammer slam by Penda late in the third.

Halftime: Celtics 80, #Magic 57

Boston, who shot 9 for 17 from 3 (52.9%) in the first half, outscored Orlando 48-30 in the second quarter.

Franz Wagner has 13 points, Desmond Bane and Anthony Black each with 12 and Orlando Robinson 7. The Magic shot 5 for 18 (27.8%) from 3.

Magic had a Tyus-Jase-Bane-Jett-Cain at center lineup. Kind of nuts but Boston is also small.

Penda now at center.

The Celtics challenged Brown's foul call on Franz Wagner but it was unsuccessful.
Technical on Jaylen Brown. Referee Curtis Blair let him express his frustration over that foul call for wrapping Franz Wagner for a little bit, but Brown said something on his way to the bench that earned him a T.

Jamal Cain first quarter appearance.

Refs taking forever on this challenge.

Neemias Queta's hobbling to the bench after sprinting back to contest that Anthony Black dunk attempt. He's heading to the locker room.

He missed the dunk, but Anthony Black continues trying to posterize opponents. Queta might have hurt his foot/ankle.

Orlando Robinson 3. 11-11. Smooth open look.

Oh wow, something did not go well for Goga in the warmup. Huge opportunity for Mr. Robinson.
UPDATE: The #Magic say center Goga Bitadze is now OUT tonight due to a sore left ankle.

Two-way player Orlando Robinson will start at center.
Without Jalen Suggs (left knee injury management), Paolo Banchero (left groin strain) and Wendell Carter Jr. (left ankle sprain) tonight at Boston, the #Magic are starting Anthony Black, Desmond Bane, Tristan da Silva, Franz Wagner and Goga Bitadze.

Here’s Goga’s chance. Should mean minutes for at least Penda or Orlando Robinson.
#Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (left ankle sprain) is OUT for tonight’s game at Boston, the 2nd of a back-to-back, the Orlando Sentinel has learned.

God Senior v. God Junior
Here’s a look into Jaylen Brown’s pregame routine as he works on finishing around the basket, including scoop shots with his right hand on the left side of the basket, while working with God Shammgod Jr. before tonight’s Celtics-Magic game.

As for Jamahl Mosley himself, the #Magic coach said he feels “way better” after missing the 2nd half last night due to an illness.

“It was a good warning sign [about] the importance of hydration, sleep and not letting the little things get to you within a game, like referees.”
#Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (left ankle sprain) will go through his pre-game routine before a decision is made about his availability for tonight’s game at Boston, the 2nd of a back-to-back, coach Jamahl Mosley said.

Might miss both Magic-Nuggets games December 18th and 27th.
Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon has sustained a Grade 2 right hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in 4-to-6 weeks, sources tell ESPN.
