Totally cool and normal that there's a conceited effort to keep trans people off any kind of visible employment, through politically loaded culture war complaints. Definitely something we shouldn't worry about.

Any trans person who persists working in education is unbelievably brave.

My most boomer video game complaint is stop trying to make be fucking social, stop trying to get me buy a season pass, stop trying to funnel me to a ‘community’. Let me buy the videogame and play the videogame. Stop microagressing me by implying it’s weird to want to play alone.

i generally think it's a good thing for a game to be book-like, in the sense that you can flip to any "page" (game state) relatively unimpeded, which i feel is a more radical position on difficulty than "dark souls should have easy mode"

I breathe a sigh of relief whenever the advertisement algorithm tries to sell me cars, cause it means this data shit might not be as all-knowing as we fear. (I would never be able to afford a car, but also I literally never learned how to drive 🏎️🚗🚐)

when the “crunch culture” reports on Red Dead Redemption 2 were coming through, many reviewers and players acknowledged that and moved on, letting the game be one of the best-selling games of all time.

the lack of any major backlash horrified me back then. people didn’t care if the game was “fun”.

"you have not played the game unless you've played the game" is one of my more annoying but unshakable opinions
the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

Magnets and estrogen you can absorb to your skin are genuinely some of the most "Wow! Technology is magic!" things on earth to my simple brain.
Look at twitter 10 minutes every day to remind yourself that at its core humanity is evil

Notice once a day that the faceplate of this cheapo mouse snaps in through the power of magnets to remind yourself that there's beauty in the world

More and more convinced that when people center concepts like "confidence" as the key of their success (applies to many areas), it's basically just a way to dismiss/rationalise structural privileges/advantages to themselves.

trans day of remembrance made a lot more sense in an ecosystem where the contributions of trans people were ignored and unacknowledged and trans people were made to suffer in silence. it makes a lot less sense in bloodthirsty media ecosystem that is deliberately setting out to victimize trans people

Espousing horrifying ideology through the smug tone and rehearsed gestures of a TED Talk

Unbelievable shit
Actually, yes, Sarah Hurwitz, that is EXACTLY the lesson that we should take away from the holocaust. The obvious lesson is that genocide is wrong, no matter who is the perpetrator or victim. A powerful military slaughtering innocent civilians is always wrong & we should always support the civilians

I think every review should take a personal stand.

Any piece of critique that does not take a personal stand is pointless spineless drivel.
As someone who works with a team who puts in a lot of time, effort, and perspective review into what we do.....

I'm extremely tired of the "take a personal stand reviews" we're seeing more and more of. Reviews are always opinions but the stuff we've seen from Hogwarts to ARC Raiders is @$%*
