I had to go look this up and I regret it
I'm in an area where Trump won 86 percent of the vote. We lined two sides of a city block this morning. Definitely way larger turnout than I've ever seen.
I hear from informed sources that these #NoKings rallies are more than twice as big as last time, making them easily the largest protests in US history. Thanks to everyone and especially organizers.
Awww, right back at you!
Look, if I'm going to spend my life going to protests in rural Tennessee, I'm going to wear a unicorn costume and dance my tail off.
Old enough to remember when my editor yelled at me for being in the office too much. "This isn't where you find stories! No stories are happening here!" Paying commercial office space rates for journalists to all sit in NYC is silly.
2. Rolling Stone is owned by a large media conglomerate, which is ending remote work across its brands.

My home is Portland, Oregon, ~1,000 miles from the nearest office, so this marks the end of the line for me at RS.
2025 problems: I bought an inflatable unicorn costume but after Trump's 100 percent China tariff announcement I realize I should have bought a chicken 😭
I'm in rural Tennessee and am trying to avoid buying anything new at the moment, but I broke down and bought an inflatable unicorn suit for next week's rallies.
Lol I avoid shaming PR folks (they have a job to do, and that's life), but this pitch is actually the worst pitch you could send me, a person who hates billionaires and loves firm boundaries.
Anyone have a favorite inflatable unicorn suit they recommend? You know, just because.
The Nashville Costco had a pistachio flavor that has been a surprise hit in this house!

George Orwell’s Animal Crossing
Turns out a lot of y'all with Live Laugh Love signs only really wanted that for white folks.

This picture is from 1992 in LA and using it in this post and story shows terrible news judgment.

"President Donald Trump and his top aides are using the word 'insurrection' more frequently to describe anti-ICE protests in places like Portland," writes Zachary B. Wolf. https://cnn.it/4pWYmzr
Okay I'm just so impressed at how many meals you're making? I make two mains and that's what everyone is eating all week long, lol. Maynta frozen pizza for date night on Friday, as a treat.
On a scale of 1 to Oh God, Make It Stop, how much am I going to regret getting my toddler a pint sized harmonica?
I'm a native Virginian! But we're actually thinking about hopping over the border to KY, @andybeshearky.bsky.social is pretty great!!
Yes, my concern is that the MMR will be taken away. I actually got the MMRV yesterday and was grateful for it.
It's such a bizarre/ unnecessary anxiety to add to the general anxiety of "is he okay? Am I fucking this up??"
Also he really loves acorns, which he refers to with the same word as his other most beloved thing: bananas.
I made it to his 1 year checkup before they banned the MMR. Y'all, the relief is real.
I thought you said Schoolhouse Rock and I was like, gosh, I guess I missed that episode in 7th grade.
I mean, I don't know, but I really hope a smart reporter is digging into it!
Me, annoyingly explaining the grand jury selection process to my partner: it's random, you're just selected out of a database...
Him: in this case, a federal database?
Me: yes, that...oh...wait, they've been demanding voter information from states.
Him: and sharing data between agencies.
I will say that neighborhood is sooooo quiet. I'm sure we were the loud ones when visiting as kids! Santa Paula is a sweet little town, I highly recommend it!! (Also you should buy it so I can come hang and show you all the best hide and seek spots)
