So we’re pirates now?
Q: What happens to the oil on the tanker you seized?

TRUMP: Well we keep it I guess

I kind of think liberals should start repeatedly saying, “you cant say ‘merry christmas’ now. Could under Biden, not anymore” and just repeat it over and over.

Thats literally what they do. Truth be damned.
Trump: "Now everybody is saying 'Merry Christmas' again"

Both of NH’s congressional delegates should be roundly criticized for their Laken Riley Act, which set up ICE’s policies…

But especially @repchrispappas.bsky.social , who wants even more power as a Senator

Both our senators initiated the death knell of the ACA, but its also on the rest of the Dems for never pushing to a single payer/medicare for all (which has similar approval ratings)

Any candidate that doesn’t run on health care for all should be ignored.

#nhpolitics
Support for the ACA tax credits has reached an all-time high of 57%, including 63% among independents.

There’s still time to find a solution and prevent premiums from skyrocketing. My Republican colleagues should heed this Gallup poll and join with us to extend the tax credits.
Obamacare more popular with Americans than ever, poll finds

I have a lot of questions… the 14th amendment case is wild, because you could potentially have people who have lived here 60-70+ years (after being born here) who are not citizens?

And what about their kids and grandkids? If you are no longer American, are they?

I mean, literally this is a prime example or the responses Id always get from Centrist Dems who claim progressives are the problem in the Democratic Party.

But somehow “vote blue no matter who”?

Democratic politicians need to stop accepting Trump’s white nationalist premise that immigration is bad and proudly and loudly make a positive case for why America’s identity and history as a nation of immigrants is so important.

Knew that it would be bad, but the murder of the national guard seemed to signal “lets have a cross burning media blitz” response.
Fox News' Will Cain: "I’m sure there are very honorable law-abiding upstanding citizens and contributors from the Somali community here in the United States, BUT..."

He goes on to say "we aren’t going to pretend here that all cultures are of equal value or the same."

The sun rose in the sky this morning, thank you dear leader for making this possible.

We need a universal childcare option

Having a child places most parents into poverty level income…

And its basically impossible for many of the childcare places to stay open

#nhpolitics
Despite being at capacity and having a waitlist, The Growing Years and other early childhood education centers in New Hampshire are struggling to stay afloat. Even centers in the state’s more populated areas are finding it difficult to make ends meet.
Empty rooms, empty bank accounts: the struggles of providing child care in NH
At first glance, The Growing Years Early Childhood Center in Manchester doesn’t look like it’s financially struggling. The parking lot is full, and the hallways are loud with the sounds of infants…

If Trump keeps expanding the size of his ballroom, eventually it will he the entire size of Washington DC, then there will only be one criminal in Washington DC. That’s a massive drop on crime.

Its 6 dimensional chess and y’all are missing it
The ballroom Mr. Trump is planning now is more than four times as large as the 20,000-square-foot one at Mar-a-Lago.

Progressives era.

Thinking rise of unions, muckrakers, industrialization, immigration.

Basically i just want WEB DuBoise, Eugene Debs, Jane Adams, etc in a documentary
I figure Ken Burns has one, maybe two big documentary series in him before he fully retires. What do you think they should be? My votes include Football, Hip-Hop, World War 1, Reconstruction (though Skip Gates did this one well), Iraq/Afghanistan, 19th Century Expansionism.

Maybe one of the problems with modern day popcorn flicks is theyre too dang long.

The new Planet of the Apes was on HBO, and i thought, sure fine. Been sick, need a mindless dumb action flick.

Two and a half hours long? Thats way too long for a movie about talking monkeys

Of course both of NH representatives voted along with the Republicans 🙄

#nhpolitics
The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

86 Dems joined Republicans in supporting the measure, incl. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

I seem to remember an outrage by gop in Congress over government monitoring/censorship on Facebook

Good job @shaheen.senate.gov .

Guess they are talking about healthcare after all 🙄
Cassidy: "If she goes and gets 2 types of shampoo & one is a dollar cheaper, she'll get the cheaper one & the other lowers their price. Once you give her the power of making the decision, she's gonna shop -- that begins to save her money and squeezes waste out of the healthcare system."

Two things can be true.

Shaheen has been a trailblazer for women

And

Her legacy will he selling out the healthcare of tens of millions to billionaires

What an embarrassing end to her career the last year has been

BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIV’s urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history — condemning Trump-Vance raids as “inhumane” and “dehumanizing” in a 216–5 vote.
NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
