10,000 signatures = 10,000 Miamians demanding change.

9 commissioners instead of 5 for fairer representation. Even-year city elections to increase turnout. Transparent, fair redistricting.

This is what a citizen-led amendment looks like.
Ballot push to expand Miami Commission, move elections to November passes 10K signatures

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

In just one week in October, he ticked off his bosses with premature comments about a terror investigation squeezed in a trip to the ‘Boondoggle Ranch’ on the bureau jet.

This Wall Street Journal piece on Kash Patel's performance as director of the FBI would probably make you laugh if you forgot for a moment that the guy has some very serious national security responsibilities and that none of this is very funny.

A dramatic, extremely worrying moment; over 61,000 people held in ICE detention. That is the highest number ever on record in United States history; roughly 6,000 higher than the previous record set under Trump six years ago, and over 21,000 higher than when Trump took office just seven months ago.
ICE just released updated detention statistics.

As of August 24, ICE is holding 61,226 people at authorized facilities around the United States and its Territories.

AMAZING NEWS! A judge has ruled that the Everglades Interment Camp must halt operations. They cannot receive new immigrants (thank GOD), and must tear down fencing and other aspects within 60 days. Essentially making it inoperable.

A point that's worth stressing again and again is that Democrats want a police state too
In Illinois, 100+ police departments were awarded $15 million to fight organized retail crime.

$5.6 million went toward ALPRs and software, mostly with Flock Safety. Some cities, like Wheaton, installed dozens of cameras despite significantly low crime rates.

I gotta say something. I do civil rights work every day. In Florida. It’s demoralizing enough most days. I get the impulse for reactions like this but man, it really does a number on you.

It’s okay to celebrate good things happening. It’s necessary, even!

Make them work for every single inch.

I don’t care how many 🐊 emojis DeSimp Twitter throws in their handles. If someone reads this and doesn’t think “absolutely, hell yes” you can’t ever claim to be a Floridian.

Our state Department of Transportation is wasting time and money bullying cities about rainbow crosswalks.

When local governments tell them to piss off, they waste more time and money painting over them in the dead of night.

Because that’s what’s important to these people.
In the dead of night, Ron DeSantis ordered the rainbow crosswalk at the Pulse memorial painted over — defacing a sacred space in the heart of Orlando that honors the 49 lives stolen in one of the deadliest massacres in U.S. history.

Before the census, advocates urged DeSantis to invest funds to ensure an accurate count. They said failing to do so risked an undercount. Now he and our goofball Attorney General are blaming libs and the deep state for the undercount.

Media must point out it’s a problem of his own creation.
