"Simplify, then add lightness” - Colin Chapman
Bluesky bakers, help. I ate this heavenly “Apple Pancake” last week. I’m attempting to duplicate. I picked an internet recipe based on the closest photo, but, Lordy, was it a failure. The consistency isn’t German Pancake/Dutch Baby, but no quite a standard pancake.

My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

Now official policy of the United States:

—Immigration is exclusively harmful

—All nations must “only rarely” grant citizenship to foreigners

—Immigration will “erase” Europe within 20 years and the US must act to prevent that

Read it yourself.
A few thoughts on the new US national security strategy that was released today.

From GR’s website, apparently they got the aero designed before the exterior design was considered which might explain the approach!

Also, saying it was a 'righteous strike' is a tell
He knows better. They all do.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), to reporters, after viewing video footage of the U.S. strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean on Sept. 2:

"Righteous strikes." "Entirely lawful."

This is so good
every year I agonize over trying to pick my top (x) number of photos I took in the previous year, and I'll probably do that again this time, but I will admit this is the easiest slam-dunk favorite I've had in a couple of years.

My version of Spotify wrapped is the record of borrowed CDs from my local library.

Found a lot of great music this way, and avoided buying shitty music that I didn’t need to hear twice.

Heard on Main Street U.S.A.: “you are the cheapest man I know. How come when we’re here you have no problem buying everything?”

It’s nice to take a vacation from your economic station, even if it’s just for a few days.

“I think” is how a system run by a king or a dictator works. Here, we have a rule of law that says no one, and that includes the government, can murder people on a whim because it “thinks” they’re up to no good.

Let me be clear. In the context of war, killing helpless former combatants who’re trying not to drown by clinging to pieces of their wrecked ship is a WAR CRIME. Outside the context of war, it is MURDER. There are a lot of very complex hard-to-judge military ethics cases, but this ain’t one of them.
why do we have rules if no one reads them !
Alt: GIF shows a scene from the TV show The Big Bang where the character Sheldon tosses a large stack of papers in the air and says, angrily, as the pages fall everywhere, “Why do we have rules if no one reads them?!”
