!!! I’ve had this book on hold for MONTHS!! I generally don’t care for true crime or serial killers, but I do care for local history and I’m delighted to read all about how the city in which I reside has spawned so many serial killers. Surely I will sleep well after reading this.

A little scene I stumbled upon by the sea…
Who do you think is enjoying the moment more: the person walking by, or this tiny visitor casually strolling toward my camera? 🐦🌊✨

I think we can safely say that the Leavitt's brother called ICE on his ex, the mother of his child, and I have to say: I have no desire to respect, find common ground or share the country with these monsters.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
‘Brazil is not her home.’ Mother of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew, brought to US as child, detained by ICE. - The Boston Globe
Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

Yeah, sometimes I need to check in on what the world looks like when you have bad pie opinions.

What do people whose favorite pie is chocolate creme think about the Brazilian economy?

One cool thing about having a tidal river running through your backyard is that a couple of times a year you will have a slack tide line up with an incredible sunset and get the most amazing reflections.

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

Pretty wild I've captured 2 of the prettiest scenes in my life the past 2 weeks
Earlier in the year I drove 9600 miles to do Milky Way photography.

Between that, work, my health, and the terrors, I'm exhausted.

I promised myself no more trips over 100 miles from home for the year, unless critical for the union.

I broke that promise Saturday.

Worth it.

Final version. 🪶

Y'all. I had a very cool moment at the beach with my nieces this weekend. We found a mermaid's purse!! After holding it up to the light, we gently put it out in the surf to hopefully get back where it will be safe. I read we should report it, but not sure to whom. Anyone know?
