Their entire catalog is on sale. I watched all of Ragnars vids on these games which isn't the same as playing them but I can recommend his recommendation as well lol

You know, the mines/halls of Castamere would still contain all the gold and jewellery of that family. You'd just need a bucket and a lot of freetime to get it out of there.

I really do think men's loneliness is treated as a societal crisis because lonely men are more dangerous. See also concerns about young men's unemployment.
I think it’s also true that loneliness among women has historically been treated as an individual problem, while loneliness among men is treated as a societal problem. That, in turn, comes from an assumption that women are supposed to earn the company of others while men are entitled to it.
men’s loneliness gets “more airtime”?

baby I have lived the past three decades of my life witnessing corporate media elevate men’s loneliness into a full-blown balls-to-the-wall CRISIS once every 4-5 years

“more airtime” is hilarious

I don't like draw steels use of the term Immunity when they mean resistance. Odd choice.

The comments to this are kind of telling yet sad, everyone basically remembers when their parents or grandparents bought from the company. No one seems to have done the same when they grew up, thus the deliveries stopped for everyone.

You know what is actually strange now that I am thinking of the time line of me getting hyper into nWoD is that by the time I first started buying the books almost every book that came out for the first edition had already been published? I got into it in 2007 and Mirrors launched in 2010,

All those haters bitching about how it was a total flop because "no one's even talking about it anymore" like two days after it launched when like no bestie you just alienated the normies who don't want to talk to you about the new album since you don't like it? Obviously???
The Recording Industry of America announced its annual tally of the most successful albums and songs of the year, and it should serve as no surprise that Taylor Swift obliterated all competitors.
Taylor Swift's 'The Life of a Showgirl' Was The Biggest Album of the Year -- And It Wasn't Even Close

Also like if you haven't tried UFO50 you should? Party House alone is worth the price of it. It's kind of addicting and it's kinda odd that the game creators haven't like put it on the app store.

They are stealth dropping Oblivion again.
There are some wild rumors/buzz floating around about a game (not Half-life 3) that could maybe possibly get announced at the Game Awards tonight, and if it happens, it's going to be one of the biggest "WHAT?!" moments.

But also, I'm not convinced.

The only reason I don't want this place to ever get group chats or circles is that no one would add me to any of theirs and as long as they don't add them I can keep forgetting that fact.

One of my little asshole traits is whenever someone gets all mad about alt text I go find some of their media posts to find out how well they are using it, generally they are in the okay territory but occasionally you'll find them adding alt text that is functionally useless.
Hey, instead of yelling at people about not using Alt text, if it's really important with you, post the alt text in comments.

Accessibility is important, yes, but let's not forget that people have different levels of energy to provide them.

It is not always malicious intent.
i think the accessibility features on bluesky are great but because i don't use the platform often, i always forget they're there. whenever i post my art, i post the same thing on all my socials at the same time, so it's a lot of copypasting.

Slightly annoyed by three issues in the feeds of this place, the first and most annoying is that keyboard smashes appear too often, can you not add a space before the keywords am to prevent those from showing up? I literally don't know.

For most of the new world of darkness (aka CofD) I bought any of the new splatbooks as I could and any core or Requiem related supplements as I could find. I've played almost none of the actual games but man was it worth just reading them all
I wonder sometimes about the market segment of game READERS: folks who sometimes buy entire TTRPG game lines just to read the books, but who have never had the opportunity (or sometimes even the desire) to play them.
Some of this is also because, in a big part of the era, more than half of the people -buying- weren’t -playing- but were instead reading these almost like periodicals, so there was a focus on advancing the narrative episodically.

While it is true that WW games sold themselves on being more story focused than D&D in the 90s...

The GM advice is nearly entirely "railroad" or "branching path railroading" with a tiny section pointing to improv as a holy grail only for master GMs.

Which is extremely traditional.

Genuine question: what makes World of Darkness fans recoil from the (imo, correct) characterization of WoD games as solidly Trad? I’ve been getting a lot of folks trying to argue that games like Vampire are storygames, which seems ridiculous to me.

And I keep coming back to the thing that has me craving violence, y'all said the ACA AND the Biden era ACA subsidies were just handouts to the insurance companies when they passed??!?!??

They were meaningless neoliberal bullshit up until the Rs are taking them away now they are super important?!?!?

It is the sign of a deeply diseased mind to believe that Republican actions are actually just a nefarious Democratic plot.
Incredibly smooth brains here.
December 11, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Apparently letting Americans starve will look bad for Republicans which will make them lose elections and this is A WORTH TRADE THE DEMS MUST MAKE but letting the subsidies expire will financially ruin a bunch of Americans and this will.... Not look bad for Republicans?
