What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

This!! What is the term for someone who pursues an activity or substance to the detriment of themselves and others - up to and including death of self or others - and is unable to stop the behaviour or consumption . . . ???
Dear Forbes:

Can you stop publishing your dick measuring contest that is causing the world’s wealthiest most powerful men to punish everyone else in order to climb your egomaniacal ladder?

The USA has been fundamentally wrong for a long time. We praise millionaires who don't pay a living wage to their employees, and criticize those same employees who work two jobs to make ends meet as "lazy," bc they still need SNAP to get by?! We see healthcare as a "privilege," not a right. We suck!
