Lover of the arts, still, a believer in humanity and science; master of nothing. Going up river with my son now firmly at the bow, my brother always at the sterrn, and me, senses fully awake tucked in the middle, taking in all the beauty.

The most important values I hold dear to my heart are found in this wonderful basket. They are under grave threat at this time. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are the center of what I hope for my dear country Canada. It is what seperates us from our neighbour and I will defend them. I will resist.

We humans are blessed with the gift of expression and creativity. As I age I hold on to the music of my youth that now sits idle on my shelves as I continue to search out new sounds. It is a blessing to grow old and still remain open, still seeking out the best of ourselves. Cheers to all who do.

I follow this guy here named Paul. He posts a lot of stuff that brings up fond memories like buying the CCR LP “Green River” in 1970. I was 13. Later in 1988 while backpacking the world I found myself on Rama 4 road in Bangkok in a country music bar singing this song with a Thai band. What a life!

@zeeroth.bsky.social Just want to wish you a happy Thanksgiving day. Hoping that you will enjoy the spirit of the day with just, yourself or with loved ones or dear friends. Cheers from your northern neighbour.

Despite our well earned hard feelings towards our southern neighbour the United States, I too want to wish my American friends a wonderful thanksgiving and hope someday to travel there again one day. America is such a dynamic nation that has lost it's way. Here's hoping you find it again.
Happy Thanksgiving! Seven members of our coffee klatch gathered to connect together before we went our separate ways today, and they voted for this photo looking slightly north taken 8 minutes before sunrise. Tap for full size. I hope you have a great day!

Dear or not so dear America,

Canada is a welcoming nation for immigrants. My humble apartment building is a microcosm of the whole planet. I love our diversity, equaty and inclusion.

Please enjoy your white, Christian nationalism and stay out of our business!

Do you believe in the voices of angels? Does anybody remember “Saturday Day Night Fever?” I was the guy in the powder blue bell bottom pants, platform boots, polyester shirt opened down to there at the Disco Viva across the river listening to the joyous harmonies of the love inspiring Bee Gees.

Dear Canadians,

"Trump Administration Will Raise Prices for Foreign Tourists at National Parks" Headline from the New York Times this morning. Foreign tourists will be charged an extra $100 on top of standard entrance fees to National Parks starting next year.

Thanks for nothing!

I unzipped my tent, stepped out, 3 meters from the ocean surrounded by palm trees on a beautiful beach in French Polynesia and witnessed an apple red sunset. I've only ever seen one. Look at this spectacular gift from the universe. Be grateful to have done well enough to afford a computer to see it.

#COP30 that yearly conference on climate change to help fight global warming and save our planet, the one that in its final statement did not use or refer to the words,"fossil fuels" was more about "climate denialism." The worst offender, the corrupted USA did not even attend. This was about greed.
This is easily one of the most incredible videos I’ve ever seen on the internet..💙😎💙

I once stood atop the Kongma La Pass at 5,535 meters in Nepal overlooking the Chhukung valley while staring across it at the magnificant mountain Ama Dablam on a cloudless, windless day bathed in sunshine with the most intense and piercing blue sky above me. I never felt more insignificant ever.

I hope all is well with you, your family and New Zealand. Our neighbour is off its rocker which has me wishing Canada was far closer to New Zealand than our current location. Take care and enjoy your weekend. Cheers.

Today I made the mistake of watching PBS news. Feeling overwhelmed by how terribly sick, corrupt, vulgar and cruel America has become in such a short time. America's democracy is on life support. I wanted, silly me, for an American to tell me everything will be alright. I'm afraid it will not.
