When I was 5 adults worried I would be kidnapped by child-sacrificing Satanists. When I was 8, they worried that drug dealers were giving out free crack on playgrounds. And when I was 11 they worried that MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" would brainwash me into becoming a juvenile delinquent.

Whenever an act of terrorist-type violence happens, officials of the country it was directed against always say "[NAME OF COUNTRY] will not back down" and this is always reported as news. When have officials ever said "We've talked it over, and [NAME OF COUNTRY] will totally back down." ?

Star Trek was so far ahead of its time that Captain Kirk had an arranged passphrase in case someone tried to use a deepfake version of him to give orders to the crew.

Watching “The Menagerie” on PLUTO TV right now, and I always love when Mendez asks Kirk if he ever met Captain Pike. 😜

While we were being sarcastic on the Internet, Neil Breen went and made another movie. It's about—and prepare to be shocked—a fantasy version of Neil Breen who's the bestest secret agent ever, despite looking like an alien who got their human suit on Space Temu. youtu.be/o0DGnxayGFM?...

Now here's a Black Friday deal I can get behind! (Of course, in order to get the "free" case you had to buy a PowerBook, and the cheapest model was $2149 in 1993 dollars—about $4830 today.)

My favorite Star Trek movie was released OTD in 1986. I love everything about The Voyage Home; it's perfect all the way through. Happy Star Trek IV Day, and a double dumb ass on everyone!

The Cylons were created by man.
First look at the free-roaming robotic Olaf.

• He is able to meet guests & interact with them.

• Disney used a branch of AI called “reinforcement learning” to help bring Olaf to life.

• Coming to Disneyland Paris & Hong Kong Disneyland in early 2026.
