It feels really played out to say we're on the "idiocracy" timeline but read this headline outlook.

You know Dwayne The Rock Johnson is gonna run for president also.

Thank you.
Robbie Roadsteamer is a true gem. The real joe rogan of the left
I've been offline for a week or two. Posting into the void if anyone can give me a tl:dr on why preps are mad at bluesky rn I'd appreciate it.
This made my blood fucking boil. That's an "itchy trigger finger" type ICE agent and there seriously needs to be sometype of Nuremberg clean up after this disgraceful administration.

We looked back on the "backlash" against American Eagle ads featuring Sydney Sweeney and her "great jeans." Right-wing media declared that liberals were outraged and thought the ads were racist -- even the White House joined in.

If you thought that story reeked, you'll want to see what we found.
American Eagle was dragged into an online outrage cycle after conservative media figures claimed that liberals were offended by the clothing company's ads featuring Sydney Sweeney and a denim-themed pun about her "great jeans."

We checked the data. That wasn't true.

Fun story this morning. I spoke with Curtis Evans, the retired Marine in the viral photo below who took part in the anti-ICE protest at Broadview. He's a thoughtful guy, well read and with a dry sense of humor. Story @taskandpurpose.com taskandpurpose.com/news/marine-...

Whatever Alyssa Thomas just ate apparently tasted terrible 😂
I'm old enough to remember my grandparents watching Fox news in 97 and they had Mark Furman as a guest to talk earnestly as an expert during some crime of the week story.

I was 13 and figured out their obvious shtick.
I definitely read that Ken reporting *on* the fear mongering. Giving him the benefit that he assumes anyone coming to substack knows the agenda of the Heritage Foundation and MAGA officials.
I totally agree with this take. An issue like gun control would be a much better example, with Beto being an example of bad messaging.

Also, why I'm really watching James Talarico in TX. Using a more inclusive (and more true) version of Christianity as a wedge to break christo-nationalism.
I 100% agree with this. If one of the hosts of "The Man Show" isn't a canary in a coal mine moment, IDK what is.
I do think something has shaken loose in the last week and the main driver of it is that people can smell the fear.

The Kimmel suspension is a much bigger deal than you know.

It's really about a growing alliance between Trump and the companies that own America's local TV stations - like Nexstar - to turn local TV into Trump propaganda.

1/ Let me tell you the short story. It's chilling.
Full of immigrants probably thanks Brandon

Trump’s allies now control X, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, & TikTok.

They own Fox News, CBS, WaPo, WSJ & NY Post.

They own Sinclair Broadcasting which has 200 tv stations and local news in 100 markets.

“Freedom of speech” is now what Trump and his billionaire pals say it is.

Elected officials are the chosen officers of the people, they carry a democratic mandate, they are oath-sworn to uphold the Constitution, which makes civil disobedience by them potent in a way private citizens are not.
Just now, 11 state and city lawmakers were arrested by DHS police on the 10th floor of 26 Federal Plaza after a hour of demanding access to the ICE lock up on the same floor. @thecity.nyc

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".
This is something I was talking to a friend about. It's hard 2 say worse than it ever has been. She's black said something about me seeing MLK as a champ non-violence. To her, he was a victim of violence more than anything.

Not white guilt BS but capacity of empathy is unavoidable. 70s were wild 2.
