This is a sneak preview of our poster image as we finalise details - it’s a coloured etching by Thomas Rowlandson after G M Woodward from 1801 called ‘The Quack Doctor’s Prayer’ with a kneeling doctor praying over a box with a duck drawn on it. In the background there’s a candelabra and pink hangings.

What a brilliant title! Courting Disaster by @thezhm.bsky.social 📚🌷

A fascinating, feminist dive into 18C literature – from Richardson to Austen – shedding light on ‘courtship’, consent, & the power of literature

A collection of Wordsworth material, including some portraits and a sonnet about the portrait. Some copies of Coleridge works, including an autograph annotated Christabel. A life mask of William Wordsworth. Three people taking a selfie with Wordsworth’s life mask.

Genuinely a bit peeved that there doesn't seem to be a fund I can apply to that will just fund the coffees I need to buy in order to work in the places where I feel most comfortable writing. Atm, I don't need fancy grants, I need around £7 a day worth of caffeine.
