A visit to Winchester to finally say hi to Austen 🤍 of course had to buy the overly touristy Austen scarf, because I fear I'm the main target audience 🫡

The production team 'Coming Up Roses' were an absolute delight to work with.
I'm not sure I can bring myself to watch 🙃

FINALLY watched the new Frankenstein and although it wasn't 100% book accurate I enjoyed it very much! Gave a lot of the correct vibes, and made Victor Frankenstein even more unlikeable LOL (but I love Oscar Isaac). 9/10 from me ✨️

(Also Jacob Elordi smashed it as the Creature, surprised me a lot!)

i must say, the whole “frankenstein is actually the dr”/“no he was actually an undergrad” thing is very relatable to me as an undergraduate who spends all my time cosplaying as an academic and then having to tell people i’m actually 20 and degree-less

I love that everyone is discovering that Mary Shelley’s monster was eloquent and not the shambling creature that Universal turned him into. I feel like the gothic literature fairy godmother watching the children learn 🖤

My grandad's favourite tea being in the cupboard of the flat is cute because I know he'd have been SO excited for me to be here...

Today's Chawton snippets (I'll stop doing this soon I promise but I still can't believe I'm here 🤣)
