So much glazing, is it the ESPN booth or a Krispy Kreme bakery?

Still kinda shaken from seeing an ICE recruitment commercial on ESPN a little while ago. It warned of "dangerous illegals" and I'll just say it again -- "illegal" is not a noun! But also, how fucking frightening that this terrifying shit is on TV.

They get a $50K signing bonus.

It’s amazing how this ESPN national broadcast sounds like a Yankees booth

Could these ESPN clowns be any happier about that homer? Might as well just bring the Yankees broadcast team in.

I absolutely hate watching Red Sox v. Yankees on ESPN, they are so up the butt of NY!
This is just a terrible @espn.com broadcast. Rodon has a 123 inning, they call it a statement inning. Bello has the 123 inning on eight pitches and they don’t say a word. It’s nothing but Yankees praise nonstop. A Yankees team that barely made the playoffs mind you. #RedSox.

#RedSox Manager Cora on team offense: "I think when we're going well offensively, we can put pressure on the opposition, we're using the whole field, we run the bases well." Says, "When we're doing that, we're really good. I think we're in a good place offensively."
Prepare yourself for the most biased broadcast in history. @espn.com has not stopped praising the Yankees during the pregame. McMahon is the best third baseman in baseball? Are you fucking kidding me? By these clowns measure, we should just give the Yanks the World Series trophy now. #RedSox

It’s incredible! As a baseball fan, I just love watching this guy. I dream of him on my team. 😆 He is so dominant and he never seems to be in trouble. Really impressive and I can’t wait to see how he developed. Start building his plaque now, Cooperstown!

Paul Skenes has started 52 games in the big leagues and has a 1.97 ERA doing it. It's completely ridiculous.

11000 days ago (June 17, 1995), the Mets unleash a member of the vaunted Generation K on the league. It’s a rough big league debut for Bill Pulsipher, who allows five runs in the first inning, but hangs in there to pitch seven innings in a 7-3 loss to the Astros.

Twitter, at one time, was legitimately an incredible resource for sports news AND a great place to be, watching a game with millions of other people. Now, you go to the San Antonio trending topic during a spurs game , and instead of Wemby, you get a video of some guy pounding off in the shower.
Well-meaning folks on Bluesky who dismiss sportsball as some kind of distraction to What Matters Now are missing a key point in creating an alternative to X: Sports for better or worse dominates American culture. You ignore enormous swaths of potential allies when you dismiss sports.
Since the NBA season ended last night, here's my self indulgent take on where Sports Bluesky is atm. The TLDR is that crappy Resistance accounts are working like antibodies to flush casual sports ppl off this platform and the devs should address this if they actually want sports to take off here.
