On Sunday I took my dad out to see this flowing river through my town and we saw salmon jumping and this majestic Heron!! Every time I’m with my dad I see some rare nature (probably because I don’t leave my house enough but that’s a different convo for a different time) 🍁🍂

This half-size (JUST HALF-SIZE) model of the Martian Moons eXploration (#MMX) spacecraft is currently in the ISAS lobby. The model was designed by “GigaStar”, an NPO led by Mase Yasufumi, who has now built… two… despite the crazy complexity! The twin is currently at Miraikan (biiiiig museum).

A large model of the MMX spacecraft. The half-sized model spacecraft is taller than a person, covered in gold for thermal protection, and flanked by large solar panels. It has four landing legs for landing on Phobos.

Exit Interview- journey of a painting. When I started this work I had a firm idea of what I wanted. Which is not where it ended up. I was also quite sick and had just resigned my job. I painted 2 almost identical works at once. During the process I refined my kereru image which I love and use in lots of other places now. You can see that the work went through many iterations and took me from one place to another. Bravo! Tokyo Skytree at Jukenbashi in the rain, partly reflected in the dark river. The clouds obscure the lighting in the middle of the tower, but the top gets back at them by painting the sky bright red. As one does.
