I should reiterate that I am not actually Joe Mauer. Never met the man! Though there was that one time he waved at me only I didn't realize it and I took a hilariously bad photo of the in seat wait person who came between me & the broadcast booth where Joe was.

It isn't even that it's just a ridiculous complaint (it's a stat, others had it before them), it's that she turns and says let's be friends and . . . what are you doing stop.

(Someone suggested she could've just reposted it with "Great minds think alike" which would be a normal thing to do.)

I hope if I ever post something truly cringe, complaining that someone beloved in my field copied a baseball stat from me, people would strongly encourage me to delete my post ASAP. For the love of god why is that post still up.

I have no problem with Pierzynski and a number of other long names, but would always look up Dougie Baseball's name to doublecheck which got old. (Though I haven't had cause to type it in ages, probably would forget what text replacement I had in there.)

Seeing people posting advice on how to press the right things to get the right characters so names aren't slurs but another route is to do it this way.

If you struggle with putting accents in names or even struggle with spelling names, you can use text replacement to get things right or make it easier (at least I know it's doable on Macs and iPads and presumably iPhones and whatnot).

Couple of examples from my text replacements.

Screenshot of two things I have set up in text replacements (under keyboard settings on my Mac).

When I type "beltre" my laptop or iPad automagically turns it into Adrián Beltré. And when I type "berrios" it transforms into José Berríos. Cool, right?

I do not understand how the TBS announcers can keep speculating about who will start games 3 and 4 for the Dodgers.
