The United States is in material breach of over five hundred - yes, 500 - legally binding treaties with Indigenous nations.

And lest you say that's because of Trump, we were in breach of at least 350 under both of the last two Democratic administrations.

So yes, we are an illegal occupation.

Conquering and colonization is the way people acquired land at that time in history. It was uncivilized and involved violence and yet that's how land was acquired.

You fought over it and, if you won, it became yours. I acknowledge that's how America came to be. I also acknowledge colonization was a bad thing for indigenous populations.

But I think you're reaching pretty far to try to claim America is an ongoing illegal occupation in present day.

I develop adult video games on Steam. I can't find a bank that will actually let me withdraw my money from Steam. Can I get some advice?
Game has sold quite well on Steam. I've got almost £90,000 ready to withdraw after Steam's cut + VAT taken off.

However, it's been 2 months now and I can't find ANY bank in the UK who will let me withdraw my money from Steam.

I've been banned/refused/unable to get a business account with:

Wise
Revolut
Monzo
Monese
Chase
Starling
Nationwide
Halifax
Barclays
Lloyds
RBS

It always comes down to, "Where did you get this money from?"

"It's coming from games I sell on Steam."

"Can we see the store page?"

"Sure."

"I'm sorry, we can't do business with you at this time."

It keeps coming down to a commercial decision purely because I make adult content.

What the hell am I supposed to do? I've pretty much exhausted the whole banking system. I just want to be able to be paid for products I've sold.

Otherwise I've been trying to get better about these wild concepts like "letting myself feel my feelings" and "acknowledging the anxious thoughts as my mind trying to protect me from harm before thanking+dismissing them", but thats a whole therapy thing that isn't exactly useful in 24 hours

I'm a nighttime overthinker and literally the only things that have worked for me are 1) having a playlist of familiar 1hr+ long videos that i can listen to at 10% volume (loud enough to Listen To but quiet enough that it won't wake me back up) 2) guided meditation bodyscan sleep aid videos lmao

I haven't seen it around as much anymore, but i remember around 2015 seeing a LOT of art where the men looked like variations on Roger 101 Dalmations and all the women were ten iterations past Ariel with HUGE eyes and teensy tiny hands and even as a teenager i was like. I Am Not Fond of This lmfao

One of the things I hear with some younger trans people I know is they feel, "I'm gonna get this surgery, and I'm gonna learn that way of speaking, and I'm gonna be done." You're never done. If you're a straight, cisgender person, you're never done. Things are always happening that have the potential to change you. So all I am today is not who I'm gonna be tomorrow, because of the things that happened to me today and later tonight. People forget that. "Oh, after I transition, I'm gonna be through." Well, good luck with that. 'Cause if you're through, then it's time to leave, you know, and I don't wanna go anywhere yet.
I'm in my seventies. Why didn't I stop? Number one is community. My gurls. I've had moments of thinking about stopping, but I didn't. I made sure I would step back, reju- venate myself, and then got back out there, and that's how you make a way. Our stories are not all the same, but the destination is: to get some place where we have some peace and harmony, and we can be at ease with ourselves and the people around us. You make the best of it all and hope you can help make it a little better for the gurl after you.
