UK/US dual national. Haven't been to US in ten years. Family there are Trumpies, family here are sane. I'm an old man, but still learning - eg, a new 'lick' for Cripple Creek. Did I mention that in retirement, I've become an enthusiastic muso. And Green.

'The most capable, imaginative ... people no longer see politics as a home. They are building movements outside the parties because that is where ideas still matter and reality still counts.

They have not abandoned politics. Politics has abandoned them.'

Why are both the UK’s major political parties running out of talent?
People know that the politicians they are now being presented with, most especially by Labour and the Tories, are, by and large, useless, without an iota of talent for the tasks they take on in the ab...

Am a bit confused. If you threaten to burn down hotels full of immigrants you get a far smaller sentence than threatening to kill Nigel Farage. In first instance you get made an example of “ two tier justice “ and serious victimhood. In the second there will be those wanting the death penalty.

Zarah Sultana has pointed out a political difference between Your Party and The Greens. She said a Your Party Government would take Britain out of NATO.
I'm glad I chose to join The Green Party, who don't have such a dangerous plan. We need to stand strong against Russia! 🇬🇧🇺🇦🇪🇺🇨🇦

📢 We're in the #Green Party but we encourage people to join #YourParty 🔽 if you feel a bit more "red than green" in your politics - the important thing is that both parties do well and that they cooperate as far as possible to maximise the left vote in the UK whenever and wherever possible. 🤝

Neoliberalism has kicked away the foundations of an empathic society and left us all as isolated 'consumers' instead of committed Citizens.

Wow! Damned to death with faint praise. I still can't believe that I paid £25 to vote for him to be leader of the LP. (I'm not a member, but thought it important). He has extended Tony B-Liar's decapitation of the LP - abandoning it for Mrs Thatcher's <spits> neoliberal economic dogma. Disgraceful.

Nigel Farage could never be trusted to run Britain after getting Brexit so wrong'.

Brexit is the biggest self-harm. UK economy hasn't recovered.

Farage, the part-time MP, collects millions from 2nd/3rd jobs, full time MP pay+exps; often missing from the Commons.

Pushes hatred to grab power.
'Farage could never be trusted to run Britain after getting Brexit so wrong'
No Brexit champion, particularly Nigel Farage, is worthy of high office after proving so conclusively wrong on such a seismic issue, says Mirror Associate Editor Kevin Maguire
