Yo también Óscar. Yo también.
Captura de pantalla de un diálogo de Duolingo
Terapeuta: "Óscar, ¿cómo se siente hoy?"
Óscar: "¡Me siento estresado!"
Terapeuta: "Y... ¿puede intentar decirme qué le está causando estrés?"
Óscar: "¡Todo! ¿No ve las noticias?"
I guess I'm glad they weren't faithful to the flag on the original.

The really funny thing is that this was literally the third question on the scavenger hunt Zohran did a few weeks ago! It's not obscure knowledge at all!

Just one dude. People who promised us the system would contain Trump, also believe one dem socialist mayor will topple one of the powerful cities in the world
Forbes making a good case that business schools should all shut down. But they're completely ignorant about how the rest of school works.
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

It's because they didn't do multiple-season long plot arcs back then.
And this applies not to just scripted shows. Like I can rewatch an episode of Taskmaster multiple times in a single week.
No kidding. Movies should also be generally rewatchable but a TV episode clocking in at under an hour even more so.
There's an essay waiting to be written about how our obsession with spoilers has resulted in nothing being rewatchable and everything being disposable.
Also. Syndication and rewatchability.
I get very GoT vibes from ST in that it's clearly a thing when episodes are coming out but when it's not actually running it completely vanishes from the culture.
$5 would be a no brainer though.
One of those cards I'd like to own but not at the price people want for it.
All I have are the ones you mailed out during lockdown.
Yeah this is sadly one of four working phone numbers that I know.
They were sent for.
Actually unfamiliar with this one!
@markhoyle4.bsky.social for a moment when I saw what this eBay seller had available I thought it was you selling stuff. #cardsky

I cannot believe I've been unaware of the "Thickey Henderson" nickname this entire time.
new @fangraphs.com: Josh Naylor's attention to detail enhances all facets of his game, and digging into those details offers its own rewards as well. A look at one of the Mariners' key players during this postseason run.

Very interesting read.

The analytical argument in the NFL for going for 2 after a touchdown cuts the lead from 14 to 8 seems solid. But the actual reality of the results says otherwise.
Going for 2 down 8 has led to exactly 2 wins in the history of the NFL.

Hear me out: what if simple probability models lead to bad decision-making in professional football?
Stop going for 2 down 8
What if the analytics people are flat out wrong?

Spotify is running ICE recruitment ads. I ditched it awhile ago for other political reasons, but this might tip your hand.

Thanks for the heads up @chuckwendig.bsky.social.
