I remember Fox News spending days on the scandal that was Michelle Obama’s modest little veggie garden. It was discussed and berated non-stop with the general theme being ‘how dare she desecrate those hallowed grounds.

To call a construction project ‘damage’ sounds unserious/hyperbolic.
HOWEVER- call it ILLEGAL (it is!), WASTEFUL + HYPOCRITICAL.
Please emphasis those things:
-illegal
-wasteful
-hypocritical

Also any addition would require an exterior wall to be impacted (like the 1902 West Wing add)

The entire HR department at the CDC is gone. Everyone at the IRB, which makes sure studies are conducted ethically and rigorously, and the ethics office, which oversee conflicts of interest for CDC leaders and advisory committee members, were also let go.

For years the office I was at played only Fox News all day long. Guessing that a full 20% of their programming was aimed at discrediting their competitors. Years of ridiculing & calling your competition biased has paid off and has convinced everyone, even those who work at the “mainstream media”.
