Yeah I mean it's not the NFL. Indiana is Indiana and led off the season playing Old Dominion, Kennesaw State, and and Indiana State. Oregon isn't a huge draw. Not surprising helmet games with some of the biggest rivalries in the sport won out.

Gameday to start the day and the lead game on SC at night. Two undefeated teams and Heisman frontrunners + the game was great.

But IU vs. Oregon struck out in terms of ratings.

I wrote about why that is and how it explains how CFB fans watch the sport.

Indiana-Oregon's disappointing ratings explains everything about college football's TV landscape
Indiana's upset of Oregon got fewer viewers than three SEC games this past weekend, but that shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Yeah...don't see coaches losing their leverage...as much as administrators may want that.

COLUMN: Will college football’s rev-share era put bloated coaching contracts out of style?

It would be better for all sides.

“For the first time, every dollar in coach salary is one less dollar that would go to buying you better players.”

Will college football’s revenue sharing era usher bloated coaching contracts out of style?
Schools hope the balance may finally shift in this cycle: Instead of asking for so much guaranteed long-term money, put it into the roster.

Yes, Instagram. I'm 41. Yes, I would maybe like to look younger. No, I'm not buying fucking beef fat to rub on my face.

You'll learn more about women and relationships from one romantasy novel than you'll learn from the entirety of the western male literary canon.

Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

Cool. Good thing no one in the state of Michigan went to either of those two schools, has kids, or has schedules to coordinate.

The Spartans (3-3, 0-3 Big Ten) host the Wolverines (4-2, 2-1) on Oct. 25 and that start time is on a six-day hold, the Big Ten announced Monday afternoon. It’s one of six conference games next week with TBD kickoff times and they’ll all be confirmed by Sunday when the TV networks make their picks.

Dear major media outlet, you've reposted the same damn Autos Editor job for more than a year now. Not being able to find an automotive editor based in DETROIT is either a fake job or gross incompetence.

One more Franklin note: UNC should hire him if Bill Belichick is too embarrassed to come back.

Putting a lot of eggs in Cignetti being willing to leave which I don't think is a given. Matt Rhule is an alum. He also has one winning conference season in five attempts heading into this year coaching at P5 level.

The shallowness of this potential replacement list is why I figured Franklin might weather this season.

Not often you know you just watched the game end with a one-score margin and more than 25 minutes left. But...

Here's the 3rd & 26 they converted. Hillman is going to get a -3 for whiffing his tackle without slowing or pushing to Rod. But Rolder tried to go inside of a TE when you can bleed 15 yards and still get 4th & 11. I think it's worth a -2.

Michigan offense has personnel issues. Michigan defense has not getting the most out of its personnel issues.

I'm pretty sure Cignetti stands in the least comfortable way possible just to toughen himself up.

All respect to Cignetti but he makes Brian Kelly look chipper

Not sure if Michigan and Ohio State can tank that equity deal. But they should definitely have a conversation with the SEC before committing themselves to the S.S. Mouths To Feed for the next 20 years.

Every Halloween Event: Parking maze of despair. Huge crowd. Cringey Halloween adults. One of my kids waking up four times between the hours of 12-5 because someone rode out in a Headless Horseman costume. Donuts and or outdoor beer with a side of bees.

Wasn’t really sure what to expect from Chapel Bill. But after that drive, I have him as second best college coach I’ve ever seen, just below Saban.
